50 Petrol Stations Sealed In One Day, More To Go… As FG Moves To Crush Greedy Oil Marketers

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), took the battle against fuel hoarding and selling at outrageous prices to Oyo State yesterday, when it sealed no fewer than 50 petrol stations in Ibadan and it’s environs, including that of a former senator from Oke Ogun area of the state.

Alleluyah Oil, Idi-Arere, Ibadan, owned by a former senator, was sealed for selling the commodity at N140 per litre while Oando at Oritamefa was closed for hoarding the product.

The approved price per litre of the premium motor spirit, known as petrol is N87, but many petroleum marketers have been taking advantage of the ongoing scarcity to sell at outrageous amounts, between N130 to N150. Petrol Stations in Ogbomoso area of the state were all closed for selling to motorists and motorcyclists at prices higher than the one approved by the government.

According to the Operations Controller, Olakunle Ogunlana, who was represented by Deputy Manager (Operations), Sadiq Ibrahim, the effort was to checkmate the pain, fraudulent marketers subject the public to.

'President Buhari Has Failed Nigerian Youths' Says APC National Youth Leader

The National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Ibrahim Dasuki Jalo, says President Muhammadu Buhari has failed in carrying the Nigerian youth along in his government.

Jalo stated this yesterday in Abuja at a workshop organized for the APC youth in collaboration with the International Republican Institute, with the theme “The Role of Youths in post-election era.”

According to the APC youth leader, no youth made it as a minister in President Buhari’s cabinet. Jalo said: “There is this saying that the youth are leaders of tomorrow but in Nigeria today, the tomorrow seems endless.

After all we are leaders of today not tomorrow because we have waited long enough and this tomorrow remains an elusive business.” He bemoaned a situation whereby the Nigerian youth which constitute the majority of the voters with about 60 per cent of the total voting population, are used and dumped after the elections, saying it should be stopped forthwith.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Reportedly Facing Jail Term In South Africa(See What He Did)

According to News 24, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, may be on his way to jail in faraway South Africa following reports that he refused to comply with the country’s laws on financial records.

He is among other pastors who the South African Commission for the Promotion and Protection of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities is investigating for failing to release their financial records.

“We are forced to take the legal route because some of them are not complying and we cannot be held [to] ransom by a few,”

“Some of these religious leaders will face prison if they do not comply and we have been clear about our course of action. Some religious leaders have also threatened the commission, which is leading us toward the legal route. Saps have been notified already,” the Commission head, Thoko Mkhwanazi-Xaluva said.

She said she could not understand why some pastors who took money from their followers were now unable to provide the commission with financial records.

Interestingly the commission has said despite threats from Pastor Chris to challenge the commission through the court, he would face the same fate as other pastors.

“If he intends on that route, we are ready. He will have to face the same fate as the others who refuse to hand over their financial records,” Mkhwanazi-Xaluva added.
Recall that pastor Chris and his wife Anita publicly filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

Also, Seun Kuti in a recent interview criticized Pastors Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy and Chris Okotie of Household of God.
