Confirmed!!! Saraki finally receives ministerial List

Senate President, Bukola Saraki has just confirmed that he has received President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial list.

He made the disclosure known today, Wednesday, September 30, 2015, via Twitter, without revealing the content of the list.

“I can now confirm that I just received #Thelist of Ministerial nominees,” the Senate President wrote.

 The Senate had adjourned its plenary session today without considering the list saying that it hadn’t yet been received.

Messi's road to recovery

Leo Messi has seven or eight weeks of intense work ahead of him to complete the recovery process for his injured left knee. The Argentine striker began his rehabilitation on Sunday, although during the first few days his priority will be to rest and not make any efforts that might worsen the partially torn medial collateral ligament he suffered last Saturday.
Doctors have said that Messi should not perform any activity during the first week of recovery. During these early days some doctors even recommend the use of crutches, so the injured joint suffers as little as possible. Inflammation will be reduced significantly from the fourth or fifth day, which will allow the striker to be attended to by the physiotherapists.
Feelings
Physiotherapy will be key. The treatment will allow the injury to heal prior to Messi taking to the field to run again. It is scheduled that the player spends the third and fourth weeks of rehabilitation running on grass. From that moment everything will depend on the sensations of the Argentinian star.
If all goes as expected, Messi could start playing with the ball from the fifth week. He will have to test it as he goes, because the pain in his left knee will not disappear overnight. Medically, the injury is considered cured after a month, so the feelings the player has will be key to whether they can shorten his recovery. Discomfort and fear levels will set the pace.
Another goal will be to make the injured knee acquire the necessary strength to start the final stage of rehabilitation . Ministerial list to be out before or on the 30th of September

With just three days to the end of September, Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina, says the ministerial list will be out not later than Wednesday Sept. 30th.
"September does not end until midnight of 30th and as long as we are within September, the president is still on course to fulfill his promise. The president's promise is that he will release the list in September and as long as we are still in September he is within course" he told Channels TV.

FATHER GETS DAUGHTER PREGNANT

A 46-year-old man, Morris Ndidwe, has been arrested by the Delta State Police Command for allegedly raping his 11-year-old daughter and impregnating a neighbour’s daughter in Delta State.
 According to his wife, Ndidwe had tried on several occasions to rape his is 11-year-old daughter in the past before the last attempt that landed got him arrested.
 His wife claimed that her husband’s behaviour made her
end the marriage one time but only returned after several appeals and an assurance that he had changed.
 She said she had initially moved out of her matrimonal home after her husband impregnated their neighbour’s daughter.
 She said: “My daughter told me what she went through in the hand of her father whenever I was not around and when confronted, my husband denied, saying, he had stopped the act .
“One afternoon, I returned from church and caught him with our daughter. Again after much pleading, I relented on my resolve to end the marriage.”
 “Last week, around 9pm, my husband drove me to the church for a vigil. He was alone with our children.
 The following day when I returned, my daughter told me what her father did to her. When I decided to check her private part my husband refused and almost beat me, but my neighbours intervened.”
The 11-year-old girl has asked the police to fully prosecute her father and have him sent to jail so he doesn’t subject her to worse things in future.

A story of a lady who has died twice

28-year-old Rebecca Morris-Roberts suffers an extremely rare condition which stops her heart and breathing until she is technically dead. But seconds later, her body manages to 'jump-start' itself, bringing Rebecca back to life.
She has suffered reflex anoxic seizures - thought to affect only four people in the UK - since she was a teenager. And they are usually brought on by a bout of nerves.
“My eyes roll up into my head, my lips and face turn grey, my body stiffens, I stop breathing and begin to convulse,” she said.
“When I go through it I’m out for the count and I don’t know anything about it until I come around. My body somehow ‘defibs’ itself. It’s such an unusual condition and I have no idea what causes it. I do something even superheroes can’t do – I regenerate!”
So when she decided to tie the knot with long-term boyfriend Elfyn Morris-Roberts in April 2014, her family feared she might “die” walking down the aisle.
 After much deliberation Rebecca, decided to have a pacemaker fitted just three months before the big day.
“I didn’t initially want to have it. From the age of 16 to 21, I was told by various doctors that I was making it up and being a drama queen,” said Rebecca, who is originally from Wrexham.
“So when I was diagnosed with reflex anoxic seizures I finally felt like I’d taken control. Mentally, I wasn’t ready for a pacemaker. I didn’t want to look back at our wedding photos and think something else was helping me live. But then I was told that every time I had an episode it would diminish my chances of recovery by 10%. I was living on borrowed time. That’s when I realised I was being selfish so I decided to have it fitted – 54 years earlier than the average pacemaker.”

Adrenaline junkie Rebecca, who has worked as an outdoor activity specialist and loves canoeing and abseiling, said her wedding day went by without needing to call the paramedics.
“I have always had a fear of being in front of people and my father followed me around the whole venue because he feared something would happen,” she added.
“But I was completely relaxed. I was so proud to be sat at the top table looking at all the people who had been brought together. They all know what I’m going through and they didn’t pity me. I didn’t have to hide anything from them. It was incredible.”
Former student Rebecca met love-of-her-life Elfyn during her time studying for a degree at Bangor University.
“I had been with him for eight months and then I was diagnosed so he was really thrown in at the deep end,” she joked.
“He’s found me after a few episodes but he’s only properly seen one. We share a bed together and when my breathing gets shallow he frantically wakes me up asking if I’m okay.

Miracle baby born with part of his brain and skull missing celebrates his first birthday

Born with most of his brain and skull missing, baby Jaxon Emmett Buell was not expected to live. In fact his parents had been told to abort him when doctors discovered his condition.

But he has defied all odds - and now he has just celebrated his first birthday.

30 year old Brandon and 27 year old Brittany Buell, were told by doctors that he had an extreme brain malformation, which meant he would probably not survive the pregnancy.

Jaxon was initially diagnosed as having Anencephaly, a neural tube birth defect in which a child is born without parts of the brain and skull, but doctors were still unsure of how severe his condition would be.

Brandon, said:'After our second ultrasound at 17 weeks, when we found out he was a boy, we knew something was up when the ultrasound technician went towards his head and went very quiet.'

'Brittany got the call the next day from the doctors saying there was a concern with the MRI results. She was in tears and told me there was an issue with the baby. Of course, I lost it at work so they sent me home and the rest of the day was a blur truly.'

For the next few weeks, the anxious couple were transferred between doctors and given five possible conditions of what it could be. Spina bifida, Dandy-walker syndrome and Joubert syndrome

Doctors gave them the option to terminate the pregnancy at 23 weeks but they refused.

Brandon said: We went home that night thinking if you are telling us to abort, we would never know what Jaxon could have been, if he could have survived.'

'Who are we to decide? We were given a child, we are given a chance and we have to be his voice.'

'We did everything we could to give him a fighting chance and all he's done since being born is fight right back.'

Brittany said: 'I was devastated. It was heart breaking because something I always wanted my whole life was happening, but then I was told there was a possibility it might be a stillborn.

'It took all the joy away from me. The happiness that normal women have when they are pregnant - I had none of that.'

The miracle baby survived the pregnancy and was born by caesarian section on August 27, 2014 weighing 4 pounds.
 

He spent his first three weeks connected to multiple tubes in a neonatal intensive-care unit in Winnie Palmer Hospital, Florida, as brain surgeons tried to understand his condition.
 

Brandon said: 'It was very emotional. I remember holding him on day two and listening to the doctors say my son would probably never walk, never talk, never know when he's hungry, or never hear or see. They really did not expect him to make it.'

Following multiple hospital visits and a two-month scare of multiple seizures, inconsolable screaming, and feeding tube issues, Jaxon was taken to the emergency room at Boston Children's Hospital, a top U.S. hospital for pediatric neurology, in August and was diagnosed with Microhydranencephaly - and new medicine that has since eased Jaxon's condition and made him a lot happier.

Yet Brittany and Brandon still wake up everyday knowing the reality they face - that Jaxon may not be here tomorrow.

Brittany said: 'It is always in the back of my mind. I'm very aware that today maybe his last day. I'm aware tomorrow he may not be here.'

'I try to stay positive 99 per cent of the time but there is that 1 per cent because I know the reality of the situation - that we're probably going to outlive him.'

Brandon's work colleagues set up a GoFundMe page when Jaxon was born to help out the family with the pricey medication and extra expenses and almost $55,000 has been raised by 1,181 donors since then and the outpouring of support is growing day by day.

According to Daily Mail, the couple, who are living on only one salary, described the support as 'incredible' and said they 'never dreamed that this would happen.'

Jaxon's father said: 'He thrives with his mom, that one-to-one stimulation that no other therapy can give. If we can keep Brittany at home, giving him that 24/7 care is truly priceless and that's what his account allows us to do.'

Brittany said: 'It's all been so overwhelming in a positive way because we can't go anywhere without someone stopping us, and saying, 'hey, what's your story?' or they would have seen his picture and say, 'hey, look it's Jax Strong!' his nickname! It's truly incredible the amount of people he has had an impact on.

Students jumped to his death after a jealous threesome

Jealousy during a drunken threesome involving current and former Yale students fueled last May's violent stabbing which ended in one man jumping out a window to his death, according to a newly released police report.
 Tyler Carlisle and Alexander Michaud, both 21, were having sex with a female student — who has not been publicly named — when Carlisle grabbed a knife and plunged it into his long-time friend's throat, according to the New Haven police report obtained by Gawker.
 The shocking new details, obtained through Connecticut's Freedom of Information Act, are the first to shed light on a motive behind the senseless tragedy which left Carlisle dead and Michaud suffering a critical stab wound.

Both men who were from Manchester, N.H., and members of Yale's conservative campus group Party of the Right, according to the student-run newspaper — were in an off-campus apartment on May 26 with the female student when things turned violent.
 Carlisle, who recently graduated after studying philosophy, is said to have become “jealous” of Michaud and consequently grabbed a knife off a nearby nightstand before wounding Michaud in his upper throat.
 Michaud told police he next remembers finding himself sitting in the living room where the female began pressing a T-shirt to his wound.
 Carlisle was meanwhile said to have been pacing back and forth, apologizing, before going to the ninth floor apartment's window and saying he was going to jump.
 Michaud said he didn't see the recent graduate jump. His body was later recovered six stories below, on a third-floor terrace.
 When police arrived they said they found the two surviving students naked in the apartment. The woman was described as "too distraught at the time of the incident to give a statement."
 "He had a lot to live for, and it was nothing I would have expected," a friend of Carlisle said after news of his death.
 Another surprised friend, who said "you expected him to be a senator," stressed the importance of knowing "the why and the how."
 "I think that's part of the grieving process, is you ask why," Emelia Attridge told the paper.
